Iran A Land Of Encyclopedias

During the opening ceremony of the 18th Book Week of Islamic Republic of Iran, which was held Sunday evening in the National Library and Archives of Iran, the Chairman of Majlis Cultural Commission Gholam-ali Haddad-adel said:" We meet 2 section while communicating with books; software and hardware. What is related with feelings, sensations and emotions is about the software part.In fact when alphabets were invented humans could convey their thoughts and emotions without speaking.
Chairman of Majlis Cultural Commission emphasized on boosting books in Tehran's regions and added Unfortunately we have a long way to proceed in order to promote the culture of reading in Iran. We should start giving books as gifts even to newly married couples.
According to investigations, during the past 2 years 200 encyclopedias were being compiled. Moreover the Persian academy is compiling a 6 volume encyclopedia of literary researches.
